Bell & Ross' Sea Rescuer's Watch

Paying tribute to the professionals who rescue at sea, Bell & Ross present two new instruments to meet their needs and support them on their missions.

Launched as a part of the historic Bell & Ross Vintage Collection – the basis of the Garde-Côtes series – Swiss brand Bell & Ross introduced two new instruments to help the professionals at sea in their endeavours. Presenting the two Vintage Garde-Côtes automatic models – a three hands model with the date display and the two counter chronograph also with the date function.

Inheriting the sportier and contemporary look with the round case, the watches also feature a trio of colours - grey, orange, and white – each of which holds a special significance. The metallic grey of the dial recalls the fuselage of the helicopters used by rescuers at sea, which is also used by the army in the camouflage on its military ships. The orange on the dial and the second hand reflects the visual codes associated with maritime safety. It guarantees optimal time reading. It is the color of the suits worn by the divers aboard during missions. This color is visible at great distances and essential during sea rescues. The numerals, indices and hour and minute hands are in white. The photo luminescent coating guarantees readability, even in darkness.

Both the timepieces feature a sapphire caseback revealing the heart of the mechanism. The crystal is further engraved with the symbol of sea rescuers: the buoy and the anchor.

The Three-hands model is more a contemporary look with the hours, minutes and seconds displayed using central hands. The date window lies between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions, and the 12,3,6, and 9 o'clock numerals are legible in the brands trademark manner. The bidirectional rotating bezel comes with a 60minute scale and can be used set time markers to get more accurate mission timing. The crown guard ensures water-resistance and prevents accidental locking of the timepiece. The model is available with both rubber strap and a satin-polished steel bracelet options.

The two counter chronograph is sportier looking and is equipped with the crown guard like the other model, for maritime rescue missions. A pulsimeter adorns the fixed bezel with a black anodized insert. When coordinated with the chronograph, this function comes in handy in providing first aid by measuring the heart rate. This is too is available with both rubber strap and a satin-polished steel bracelet options.
