A direct descendant of the pocket chronometers of the late 19th and ealry 20th century, the new Marine Torpilleur Military edition features the same Ulysse Nardin UN-118 in-house movement as the celebrated Marine Chronometer.
The Kering group Swiss watch brand, known for its iconic nautical pieces, has introduced two variations of the Military edition - one with an eggshell white dial, with outlined Arabic numerals further matched by an elegant tan leather strap. The other in chic black, with orange Arabic numerals and superluminova-coated hands – ideal for legibility in the dark – complete with a black strap and orange stitching.
The 44mm pieces come with an oversized crown, a a steel sand-blasted finish case, and are water-resistant to 50 meters. The in-house UN-118 movement powers the watch and is COSC certified. The movement also features a Silicium anchor escapement which has been manufactured completely in-house as well.
Limited to only 300 pieces, the dial showcases the edition of the watch in bright red letters, right above the 6 o'clock position which also features a small seconds function.
