Established in Rome in 1884, Bvlgari began as a jeweller, and diversified into watches in the 1920s with bejewelled wristlets for women, and even timepieces for men. It was, however, in the 1940s that the brand developed the now iconic Serpenti watches for women, and hit its watchmaking stride in 1975 with watches like the Bvlgari Roma and Bvlgari Bvlgari. Today, the brand is synonymous with watchmaking excellence, and has collections like the Serpenti and Lvcea that personify its gem-setting expertise, and the Octo Finissimo, a stalwart in record-breaking slim watches.
