Pre-SIHH preview with MB&F

MB&F never ceases to amaze us with their brilliant mechanical experiments. Presenting Kelys the tortoise & Chirp the bird, the latest outlandish-creation by the independent watch brand, limited to 18 pieces in each of the four variations.

The independent watch brand, known for their out-of-the-box kinetic mechanics and engineering, have added yet another creation to their list with the Pre-SIHH Kelys & Chirp sculpture. First things first, no it's not a watch, however, it does embrace all the micro-mechanics rooted in the watchmaking industry.

Created in collaboration with Reuge, the premier manufacture of music boxes, and Nicolas Court, one of Switzerland's most talented automaton experts, the kinetic tortoise hides a secret under its rhodium plated brass – a flying automaton bird inspired by the one and only, Pierre Jaquet Droz.

The model comprises of a total of 480 components, and can “walk and sing.” Watch the full video to know more.
