Available in three variations of 12 pieces each, the MoonMachine 2 is a part of the iconic MB&F “Performance Art” series. A fine reinterpretation done by the talented watchmaker Stepan Sarpaneva, the new MoonMachine 2 is a brilliant transformation of the Horological Machine No. 8. Equipped with the world's first projected moon phase indicator, the HM8 / MoonMachine 2 features a unique combination of mechanical movement with an optical prism display system. This feature is further accentuated with jumping hours and trailing minutes, and a very unique moon phase complication.
The moonface is modelled after his own face (or his grandmother's, maybe?) The challenge, however, lay in creating the smallest moons ever – as thin as 0.07mm – for this complication.
The limited edition is priced at CHF 95,000 + VAT for the rose gold edition and CHF 88,000 + VAT for the two titanium editions – titanium and black titanium (same amounts in USD).
