IWC and Laureus brighten young lives in Mumbai

Kapil Dev and Sonam Kapoor interact with the children of Magic Bus during IWC and Laureus World Sports Academy event in Mumbai.

The Laureus World Sports Academy recently hosted an activity-based Magic Bus session for the young children and people of the Magic Bus programme. The event was attended by Kapil Dev – a Laureus Academy member, and Sonam Kapoor, IWC Brand Ambassador.

The Magic Bus Foundation India is one of the largest anti-poverty programmes in the country, providing young children the necessary support to complete their education. It also combats problems such as child marriage and child labour.

"We remain committed to our vision of taking every child and young person on a journey from childhood to livelihood and out of poverty, and partnerships like these make it possible for us to provide even more help." Jayant Rastogi CEO of Magic Bus

The Laureus Sport for Foundation has been supporting Magic Bus since 2003. IWC Schaffhausen, the Global Partner of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, recently launched the “Da Vinci Chronograph Edition – Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.” The proceeds from the sale of the IWC timepiece were used to support the foundation.

Jayant Rastogi, CEO of Magic Bus, said: “We are grateful to IWC and Laureus for their continued support. We remain committed to our vision of taking every child and young person on a journey from childhood to livelihood and out of poverty, and partnerships like these make it possible for us to provide even more help.”

Last week, one of the greatest cricket all-rounder, Kapil Dev, Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor, and IWC Regional Brand Director Middle East, India, and Australia Luc Rochereau came together to host a fun morning with the young minds of the Magic Bus Foundation. Moments from the event captured below:
