With three months to go for the Baselworld next year, Breguet has already announced its 2018 offering – the iconic Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat
Automatique watch with an enamel dial. Introduced in 2013 first, the Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat has remained a consistent part of the Breguet collection with the initial handmade guilloché dial version.
The new edition houses the self-winding calibre 581 and boats of an 80-day power reserve for its 3mm height – something not very common in the industry. The case is made of 18k rose-gold and hosts a beautiful grand feu enamel dial with an opening for the tourbillon itself. The hand-bevelled bridge acts as an added support for the complex, thin mechanism under it.
The watch also follows the original design conceived by A.L. Breguet himself, with the slightly off-centre minute and hour-tracks. The price will disclosed at the Watch and Jewellery Fair in 2018.
