Phillips' Masters of Horology

Phillips offers a tribute to independent watchmaking in collaboration with Maxima Gallery in Rome.

April 6th - 15th 2018 will witness an exceptional auction hosted by Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo. Created by Maxima Gallery in support of independent watchmaking, the Watchmakers” Masters of Horology auction will feature pieces from the world's most talented watchmakers at the MAXXI in Rome.

The International Traveling Exhibition will showcase watches by Philippe Dufour, Hajime Asaoka, Christophe Claret, Ludovic Ballouard, De Bethune, Laurent Ferrier, Romain Gauthier, Vianney Halter, Christian Klings, Jean-Daniel Nicolas, Roger W. Smith and Kari Voutilainen. These names will also be joined by the late George Daniels, who many consider as the father of modern watchmaking.

The exhibition will debut in Rome, in Maxxi – the first national institution devoted to contemporary creativity. From there, the pieces will be displayed New York, Hong Kong, and London. Images of the watches on display can be found below.
