Novak's Mechanical First

Seiko develops the first automatic watch for their brand ambassador and tennis legend Novak Djokovic.

Where 2017 saw Novak Djokovic sporting his dress watch, the Seiko Kinetic Perpetual Premier designed especially for his formal occasions, 2018 has something entirely else in store. Designed exclusively for Djokovic, the Japan-based watch brand unveils the new 2018 Premier Novak Djokovic Automatic Limited Edition timepiece.

The Premier Automatic Skeleton comes housed with a specially finished automatic caliber – a new version of the 4R caliber – designed especially for a skeleton dial. The dial tells a beautiful story on its own. Inspired by Djokovic's tennis racquet, the skeleton mesh design opens a window through which you can see the balance wheel spinning like a tennis ball spins after the player's trademark slice shot.

The caseback carries Novak Djokovic's signature in sync with the “D” emblem on the crown. Available in two versions, the 42.9mm limited edition is presented on hybrid straps comprising of a silicone layer with leather on top.

The first version, priced at 680 euros, is a strong black and blue combination and is limited to 2,000 pieces. The second, priced at 760 euros, is a rose gold version and is limited to 3,000 pieces.
