Hublot unveils two new Classic Fusion Tributo

Established in 1980 in Switzerland by Italian watchmaker Carlo Crocco, Hublot made its debut with the Classic Original, a watch that quickly gained attention for its gold case paired with a rubber strap. Since then, the brand has come a long way, from pioneering the use of innovative materials to developing its own movements, expanding its collections, and collaborating with artists, including the latest Jeff Koons Classic Fusion Balloon Dog editions. Now, looking back at its origins, Hublot pays tribute to the watch that started it all with two new timepieces: The Classic Fusion Tributo.

Launched in yellow and white gold versions, the latest watches follow the design aesthetics of the progenitor. There’s twelve screws securing a bezel and a minimal lacquered dial, displaying time and date at 3 o’clock. The case, however, is increased from 36 to 38 mm this time. Just like the original version, the watches feature MDM pad-printing at 6 o’clock, which also indicates the Main Dans la Main Foundation, a philanthropic organization, started by the founder in 1998.

The yellow gold version (Ref. 262.VX.1130.RX.MDM) resembles the original watch with a polished and satin-finished 18-karat yellow gold case and a matte black dial. While the other version is distinguished with white gold (Ref.262.WX.6870.RX.MDM).

“Today, seeing the very first design and the origins of the Art of Fusion brought back to life is deeply emotional,” stated Crocco in a press note.

The sapphire crystal caseback of the watches reveals the brand’s automatic movement HUB1711, with a 50 hours of power reserve.
