Geneva Watch Days 2021: House of BOVET 19Thirty Goes Guilloché

Continuing the popularity of the deep red guilloché dials in the 19thirty, House of BOVET announces new materials and colours for the 2021 Geneva Watch Days. Check it out below:

After the incredible response received by the deep red guilloché dials in the 19Thirty collection, the House of BOVET dedicates to brining more range and versatility for Geneva Watch Days 2021.This time the brand announces four new guilloché dial colours in the BOVET Fleurier 19Thirty Collection and they are worth more than just a quick look. As you are well aware, guilloché is a technique that has been used in the watchmaking industry since the 18th century.

BOVET takes this age-old ornamental technique and applies it to the dial of the 19Thirty Collection. During the developing stage of the dial, once the guilloché is rendered, it is then filled with layer upon later of translucent coloured lacquer. Once the lacquer dries off, the dial is then treated with a polishing process that enhances the guilloché pattern as it moves. One of the most special feature of this dial is how it changes when lights hits it from different angles.

Among the four that is scheduled to release, we saw the Turquoise version during our presentation for Geneva Watch Days. The colour turquoise on the dial shimmers and glitters when it is hit by light. But one turn of the wrist can lead to a flurry of new shades of turquoise; each taking up space in the hearts of the wearer.

The turquoise guilloché colour and dial treatment was personally conceived and designed by owner of the House of Bovet – Mr Pascal Raffy and each colour is strictly limited to 60 pieces for the world.

The 2021 19Thirty collection comes in an ergonomic 42mm case in stainless steel. Like we mentioned before, the dial comes in slew of exclusive colours and are easily identified by their crowns and bows that sit heartily at 12 o' clock. Technically too, the watch is instantly recognisable with a manufacture movement with seven days of power-reserve powered by one barrel. The real sapphire cabochon that is inset into the crown further highlights its elegance.

When it comes to reading time on the dial, BOVET keeps it rather simple with easily readable minute with seconds display at 6 o' clock and power reserve indicator at 3 o clock.
