What happens when the most streamed French artist in the world DJ Snake joins hands with one of the most prestigious and on trend Swiss watch brand Hublot – we get magic! And that is exactly what Hublot is offering with the all new Big Bang DJ Snake – a timepiece that boasts of a myriad facets just like the artist it is inspired from.

But before we get onto the intricate details of the watch, let's talk about the man behind the introduction of the watch- DJ Snake himself. A huge presence in today's musical landscape with many international hits under his belt like "Turn Down For What" (his shot to stardom) in 2013 to , additional hits like "Lean On", and "Loco Contigo", DJ Snake is a force to be reckoned with. He has been creating hit tracks in collaboration with global musical superstars like "Let Me Love You" with Justin Bieber, and "Selfish Love" with Selena Gomez. He is also the first French artist to have two songs with over a billion plays on Spotify. He has won multiple awards like the Billboard Music Awards; MTV Music Awards; and no fewer than three NRJ Music Awards.

The relationship between DJ Snake and Hublot started off in 2018 when he was a part of Hublot's closing evening during the FIFA World Cup in Russia. Three years after that we are witnessing the first watch being unveiled from the collaboration – the Big Bang DJ Snake. “To be able to wear – and also offer my fans – a watch which reflects my personality is something that has been very important to me since the start of my partnership with Hublot. I am delighted to have been able to combine my inspiration with the expertise of the fantastic watchmakers and technicians at this Swiss brand." comments DJ Snake.

Now onto the watch:

Crafted in a 45mm titanium case, the watch accommodates the instantly recognisable and iconic design of the Big Bang but this time with an iridescent shine with countless blue purple hues. The bezel and the six titanium components of the case is treated with special manufacturing process that looks similar to a black PVD treatment that changes colours depending on the light and when viewed from different angles. To ensure the iridescence of the various colours sticks on, Hublot has gone ahead and hardened the surface of the parts of the case. This was an extremely complex operation to execute evenly on the 100 watches that will be available under this collaboration. DJ Snake also made significant contributions to the design language of the watch . One of which is the cut-outs on the outer edge of the bezel.

Further extending the aesthetic of DJ Snake is the dial of this new timepiece. It features a sapphire dial in the same colours as the case and a colourful globe- a signature of the electronic music star. This globe signifies his travels across the planet for his concerts and also that his hits have made the world his home. If you notice closely, the lower section of the dial is skeletonised and offers a magnificent view oof the famous calibre HUB1242 UNICO movement hat offers a flyback chronograph function and a power-reserve of 72 hours.

Limited to just 100 pieces worldwide, the Hublot Big Bang DJ Snake is available in two strap options; one made of rubber with a grey, black and purple camouflage pattern and the second also made of rubber but housing a black ribbed structure. Another important detail on the straps is the presence of the same "Newton's Rings" effect on the clasp of the strap as one can notice on the case and bezel.
