Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater

Explore the beauty of the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater and Jaeger-LeCoultre's revised movement that powers two gorgeous dials and a minute repeater.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has presented the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater which offers not just looks or performance, but a great deal of legacy as well. Around nine decades ago, Jaeger-LeCoultre launched the first Reverso, and 150 years ago, the brand created its first minute repeater timepiece. With all that history and expertise to take inspiration from, the manufacture has now presented the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater offered in a limited edition of 10 pieces.

The brand's time-honoured craftsmanship has delivered a splendid chiming watch that stays true to Reverso's Art Deco lines and swivelling case. The Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater takes pride in its patented trebuchet hammers, silent regulator, and a new generation of gongs all powered by an updated version of Calibre 944 - the movement entirely conceived, designed, and produced within the manufacture.

Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater

The Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater features dials on both the front and back sides - a grand show of an alluring design aesthetic. Although the time on both the dials is the same, it is its individuality that quickly piques your interest - one side stimulates exuberance while the other side offers subtlety.

The front dial has been completely skeletonised to divulge the meticulously assembled minute repeater mechanism and present a mesmerising display of moving parts when the minute repeater is activated. Beneath a large bow-shaped bridge that sweeps from 11 o'clock to 7 o'clock, the components give a three-dimensional impression of being afloat. This visual depth is further enhanced by faceted indexes that are cantilevered from the chemin de fer minutes track. With a shimmering golden finish, the bridge, hour markers, gongs, and several other components perfectly match the colour of the rose gold case of the watch.

While all of this happens, the reverse dial awaits to showcase its brilliance with its vertical Côtes de Genève stripes that extend over the entire height of the main plate, which also serves as the dial. The colour scheme is a charming facet of this side of the dial courtesy its blued screws and golden hands and hour markers; the cool silver tone of the metal provides an elegant contrast to the warm rose gold of the case.

The chiming timepiece has a slider that activates the chimes. It has been specially designed for the new Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater to be as slim as possible.
