Breitling partners with Triumph to create new Top Time

Breitling and Triumph Motorcycles have collaborated to create the Top Time Triumph watch, and a special Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition motorcycle, limited to 270 pieces.

After presenting the initial designs in 1962, Breitling introduced the Top Time line in 1964. It was a simple chronograph with sophisticated lines, inspired by the sub-culture of cafe racer, and boasting superior quality, precision, and finesse - it worked perfectly for both young men and women. Breitling deliberately kept the name short to highlight the modern design of the collection. Over the years, Breitling has had successful partnerships with the line, for example the Norton and Deus Ex Machina in 2019. The newest one is with Triumph, and to celebrate the same, Breitling has produced a new watch, the Top Time Triumph.

The 41mm Top Time Triumph (Ref A23311121C1X1) gets an iced-blue dial, a colour that has appeared in two earlier references – a blue Triumph thunderbird GT from 1951, and a rare, blue dial Ref 815 from 1970s. The watch gets a brushed finish in Bow motif nicknamed 'Zorro dial', and features a Triumph logo at 6 o’clock, a Breitling Top Time logo at 12 o’clock, a 60 seconds counter at 9 o’clock, and a 30-minute window at 3 o’clock. The 41mm watch is powered by Breitling 23 Caliber self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 48 hours. The stainless steel case gets a snapped caseback with a 30metre water resistance. Completing the watch is black calfskin leather strap with stainless steel buckle and folding clasp.

While Triumph is launching a 270 limited edition Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition to commemorate the occassion, its buyers will be able to buy a special owner’s watch where the caseback is also engraved with the individual number of the bike (all Top Time Trimuph watches come engraved with parallel twin engine)

The Breitling Top Time also get oversized pushers for easy control of the chronograph and reset functions and a tachymeter scale providing clear reading of the speed ratings. The hands are also ice blue with special brushing and Super-LumiNova® for hour markers, hour and minute hands.

Coming to the bike that's been designed, the Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition's speed and RPM gauges are inspired from Top Time dial design. The black leather perfectly synchronises with the black leather watch strap and features embroidered ‘B’. Also, the gas tank features a pin stripped ‘Breitling’ name. Each bike gets an individually numbered handlebar clamp.
