Panerai unveils two new Luminor Quaranta BiTempo

The new Luminor Quaranta BiTempo follows the characteristics of Panerai's Luminor Quaranta collection, with a slimmer 40mm case
Two new watches from Panerai stables include the Luminor Quaranta BiTempo in two iterations - matte black dial (Ref. PAM01365) matte white dial (Ref. PAM01367), with the GMT complication. The timepiece salutes the brand’s heritage by picking up its classic design elements like the time scale, small seconds at 9 o’clock, and the Luminor series’s pillow case and crown bridge protection device.

The 40mm timepiece features a brushed and polished steel case. The black or white dial is incorporated with green Super-LumiNova coated Arabic numerals at 6 and 12 o’clock and hour markers and hands. There is also an enhanced date window located at 3 o’clock and  "BiTempo" engraved on the dial above 6 o’clock, which means ‘dual time zone’ in Italian - the brand’s tribute to the Italian design tradition and heritage. The tip of the GMT 12 hours hand of the watch glows blue in the dark.

Through the see-through sapphire crystal caseback one can see the automatic Calibre P.900, which beats at the frequency of 28,800 vph and boasts about three-days of power reserve. The movement carries an Incabloc® anti-shock device, which supports the balance wheel and protects the watch from shock if it falls. Complementing the watch is a PAM click release Alligator black strap with trapezoidal brushed steel buckle.
