Breguet extends its Classique Tourbillon 3358 collection with two new versions

The gem-set iterations pay tribute to the brand's strong neoclassical aesthetics
Breguet adds two new timepieces to its pre-existing and most sought after women’s collection—Classique Tourbillon 3358, which displays the brand’s neoclassical aesthetics introduced first by the founder, watchmaker, and inventor, Abraham-Louis Breguet. The latest Classique Grande Complication models models include Starlit night Classique Tourbillon 3358- (Ref. 3358BB/VD/986D0) and Classique Tourbillon 3358 Stunning sight (Ref. 3358BR/8D/986D0).

Crafted in 18K white gold, the 35mm timepiece features a bezel and lugs set with 69 diamonds (1.84 carat approx.), and a crown with a rose-cut diamond. The midnight blue mother-of-pearl dial of the watch bears 21 gold sandblasted and polished stars set with 6 diamonds, an off-centred chapter ring at 12 o’clock displays Breguet’s signature Arabic hour markers, with serial number written at it’s 4 o’clock, and rhodium-plated gold Breguet hands. There is a balance wheel sitting at 6 o’clock, incorporated with a tourbillon bridge studded with 45 diamonds and a blue spinel pivoting stone at the centre.

It is an 18K rose gold version fully bejewelled version with 69 diamonds set on the bezel and the lugs, and one rose-cut diamond on the crown. Unlike the aforementioned version, this model features a dial set with 281 diamonds; the gems outside the white mother-of-pearl chapter ring, which is located at 12 o’clock, form curves while inside ones are set with snow-setting. At the base of the dial is a curved and polished oval-shaped aperture incorporated with a balance wheel on top of which is a rounded gold bar set with 14 diamonds.
Reversing the dials reveal the hand winding calibre 187 D, beating at the frequency of 2.5 Hz and boasting the power reserve of about 50 hours. Also, there is a hammered base plate hand-engraved with Breguet’s name and the unique reference number of the movement. Complimenting the timepieces is a midnight blue or a crimson red alligator leather strap with a triple blade folding clasp in gold set with 42 diamonds.
