Dubai Watch Week 2023: Arnold & Son revisits its Time Pyramid collection in a new diameter

The two iterations, Time Pyramid 42.5 Red Gold & Time Pyramid 42.5 Platinum Vertical time joins the line
First introduced in 2013, the Time Pyramid collection by Arnold & Son is inspired by the regulators created by John and Roger Arnold, and by the antique British skeleton clocks; the collection comprises a regulator, skeletonisation, vertical linear movement, and pyramid-placement of components. The new novelties bring life to 1830s clock shape.

For the Dubai Watch Week 2023, the brand has unveiled two redesigned timepieces in a new diameter of 42.5mm - Time Pyramid Vertical time in red gold (5N)  limited to 88 timepieces and platinum (PT950) limited to 38 timepieces. The references feature a slender bezel and crown at an unconventional position, 6 o’clock. The partially skeleton dials are topped with a domed sapphire with an anti-reflective coating on both sides; the dial is arranged in the form of an anchor reminiscing the Arnold & Son logo and a reference to John Arnold’s title as watchmaker for the Royal Navy.
One can see a NAC-treated, satin-finished mainplate, above which is an off-centered white opal, the signature stone of the brand, and Roman hour markers. There are visibly arranged movements that include a balance wheel sitting at 12 o’clock and on the bottom side the NAC-treated, hand-chamfered and vertical Côtes de Genève striped bridges and gold plated wheels with circular satin finishes arranged from top to bottom screwed with blued and chamfered, mirror-polished heads.

On the caseback of the Time Pyramid 42.5 Red Gold & Time Pyramid 42.5 Platinum Vertical time appears aventurine glass for the first time. Powering the watches is the manual winding A&S1615, beating at a frequency of 3Hz and offering double power reserve of about 90 hours. The watches are fitted with a hand-stitched blue alligator leather with black calfskin lining.

The timepieces are priced at Rs. 40,25,000 (approx.) for red gold and Rs. 51,39,000 (approx.) for platinum.
