LVMH Watch Week 2024: All of TAG Heuer’s releases

TAG Heuer’s LVMH Watch Week 2024 releases add to its popular collections like Aquaracer and Carrera. There is also the new Diamant d’Avant-Garde, and fresh faces for the Connected.
Last year at LVMH Watch Week, TAG Heuer kicked off the 60th-anniversary celebrations of the Carrera alongside a titanium Solargraph and Connected Watches. This year in Miami, the brand has extended these popular collections, and unveiled the Diamant d’Avant-Garde with striking colour schemes. The brand has also strengthened its digital prowess with a new Connected Watch, and watch faces that echo its popular lines.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph
In 2022, TAG Heuer introduced the popular Aquaracer Solargraph, a 40mm timepiece with a carbon bezel and a solar-powered movement. In 2023, the watch debuted in titanium. At LVMH Watch Week 2024, the brand unveiled the newest version of the watch, and for the first time an Aquaracer in 34mm. And there’s not one, but five models distinguished by their dials. In another first, the new series has timepieces with a mother-of-pearl dial.

Ref. WBP1311.BA0005 comes with a deep blue sunray brushed dial, Ref. WBP1312.BA0005 has the mother-of-pearl dial without diamonds and Ref. WBP1313.BA0005 has the mother-of-pearl dial with diamond hour markers, Ref. WBP1315.BA0005 has a polar blue-grained iridescent dial, and Ref. WBP1314.BA0005 is mother-of-pearl with diamonds on the indexes at the indexes and the bezel.

The new watches retain the characteristics of the Aquaracer line with a unidirectional rotating bezel, luminous markings, sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, a double safety clasp, and water resistance up to 200m. The hands and indexes are coated with Super-LumiNova®, except for the indexes in diamond-studded watches. Speaking of the modifications, the new series has redesigned lug-to-lug distance to offer a comfortable fit for slender wrists, and the riders on the bezel are now trapezoidal which used to be rectangular or triangular before.

All of them are powered by solar quartz movement, the Calibre TH50-01, which drives the time, seconds hand, and the date at 3 o’clock. The need to change the battery is eliminated as just two minutes of exposure to direct sunlight can charge the watch to work for an entire day. It can also be charged with artificial light. Also if it is exposed to about 40 hours of sunlight, the watch gets fully charged to run for almost 10 months without the further need to recharge.

The timepieces are flanked with polished steel 3 rows bracelets, and their price range from approximately ₹2,02,000 to ₹4,71,000.

WBP1311.BA0005, WBP1312.BA0005, and WBP1313.BA0005 will be available from February 2024; WBP1314.BA0005 from June 2024; and WBP1315.BA0005 April 2024.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph
TAG Heuer brings the iconic Glassbox design back with two new Carrera chronographs. There’s the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph (Ref.CBS2211.FC6545) and the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon (Ref. CBS5011.FC6566). Both the timepieces come in a monochromatic shade of teal green and the former feature a date window at 9 o’clock, continuing the legacy of its vintage Dato design. The colour of the watches takes inspiration from the brand’s and Carrera’s history of motorsports when there were vintage green cars in the 20s to the 60s.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph comes in a 39mm fine brushed and polished stainless steel case with Glassbox domed sapphire crystal. Inside is the teal green circular brushed dial featuring an “azuré” minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock and the flange with 60 second/minute scale. The faceted hour and minute hands are coated with white Super- LumiNova® and there’s the rhodium-plated polished central hand. Automatic Calibre TH20-07 powers the hours, minutes, seconds, date, and chronograph functions of the watch.

The other, TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon, features the same design characteristics as the above, but includes a tourbillon at 6 o’clock and an “azuré” hour chronograph counter at 9 o’clock instead of the date. The moment driving the chronograph watch is the Calibre TH20-09, housed inside the 42mm steel case.

Both watches come with a black alligator leather strap. The Carrera Chronograph is priced at approx. ₹6,16,000 and is available for purchase from January 2024. The tourbillon version is priced at approx. ₹22,61,000 and will be available for purchase from May 2024.

TAG Heuer Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde
Last year at Watches and Wonders TAG Heuer introduced the first Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde with lab-created pink diamonds. This year the brand has brought the Diamant d’Avant-Garde in yellow.

The new 36mm Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde is crafted in white gold and adorned with a total of 4.8K of lab-grown diamonds that dazzle on the 2.9K polycrystalline dial of the watch (where a large number of diamond crystals are grown as one creating a play of light and reflections). The hour and minute hands are skeletonised. At the white gold indexes, the baguette-cut lab-created diamonds complement the yellow-coloured gemstone that shines at 12 o’clock in TAG Heuer’s iconic shield cut below the Carrera logo. This yellow colour is achieved through the brand’s Plasma technology which scientifically is the Chemical Vapor Deposition process where the arrangement of carbon atoms is altered in a controlled manner to change its atomic configuration during its growing phase.

Powering the watch is the TAG Heuer Calibre 7 Automatic movement which is visible through the sapphire caseback. The timepiece comes flanked with a white alligator strap completed by a white gold pin buckle.

TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Green
The year 2015 had the first Connected Watch from TAG Heuer where the brand bridged traditional watchmaking with modern digital technology. Taking the legacy forward, the new TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 joins the brand’s 45mm E4 line.

This sports watch comes in a shade of green, in a stainless steel case and a bezel made of polished green ceramic. The crown at 3 o’clock is black rubber and steel, which sits together with steel pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock. The caseback is also made of steel.

The timepiece has three watch faces - Mirage, Prism, and Chromatic, which mirror the colour of the bezel and can be used in other regular E4 timepieces as well. In total, TAG Heuer provides over 20 watch faces to choose from for its Connected Watches.

Powering this timepiece is the Calibre E4 45mm with 430mAh battery that runs for 1 full day* depending on its usage (1 full day* with 1h30 Running, 2h Walking, including Wellness, or 1 full day* with 5h Golfing, including Wellness)., and takes about 1h30m to fully charge at temperatures between 15° and 45°C.

The sensors in the watch include heart rate, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, microphone, and Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 4100+ barometer chipset. The watch offers BT 5.0, Wi-Fi, NFC connectivity. The watch also supports Global Navigation Satellite Systems such as GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, QZSS, and Galileo.

Coming to the visuals, the watch is equipped with a 1.39’’ 454x454 pixels OLED display and is supported by the latest Wear OS by GoogleTM (Wear OS 3) operating system. Amongst the watch apps, the wearer can switch between TAG Heuer Watch Faces, TAG Heuer Sports, TAG Heuer Golf, TAG Heuer Wellness, and other TAG Heuer branded micro-apps such as stopwatch, timer, and alarm.

The watch is water resistant up to 50 metres and comes with a green rubber strap. It is priced at approximately ₹1,64,000 and will be available for purchase from January 2024.

TAG Heuer Connected Watch Faces
Apart from the mechanical and digital watches, TAG Heuer has also introduced four new watch faces for its Connected timepieces, which include the digital version of its iconic Carrera, Aquaracer, and the TAG Heuer Formula 1. All of these watch faces provide features like real-time heart rate, sunset and sunrise information, battery status, live weather updates, and moonphase details, among others.

The Carrera for the Connected watch face comes in two models, one is the teal green colour scheme model and the other is the tourbillon movement model. The former is available in shades of teal green, black, green gold, and blue, while the latter can be switched between teal green, blue, and black. These watch faces take inspiration from the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph and TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon released together at LVMH this year and the signature blue colour of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2023.

From the TAG Heuer Aquaracer collection, the brand chose the Solargraph for the watch face in varied shades of black and white. The visual transformation occurs such that the watch’s face is visible in any light and environmental conditions.

Lastly, keeping with its roots in racing, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 watch face features the quartz chronograph counterparts where the traditional mechanics are replaced by digital versions. The watch face follows the colour scheme of red, yellow, and green.
