Counting down 100 days to the Paris 2024 Olympics, Omega, the Official Timekeeper of the Games since 1932, has unveiled a new Speedmaster Chronoscope collection bearing the colours of the competition.
The 42mm watches come in four variations - two in stainless steel with anodized aluminium bezel on a steel or perforated rubber strap, and the other two in Omega’s proprietary 18K Moonshine™ Gold case paired with either the Moonshine™ Gold bracelet or black calfskin leather strap. Each of the models has the gold, black, and white colour scheme of the Olympic Games.
The silvery white opaline dial features three grey timing scales with a snailed pattern, where the outer one features the telemeter scale and the inner one the pulsometer scale. The tachymeter scale is featured on the dark grey bezel. There are two blackened and snailed counters, the small-seconds at 9 o’clock and 12-hour at 3 o’clock. The Arabic numerals on the dial and subdials, as well as the leaf-shaped hands are coated with 18K Moonshine™ Gold. The caseback of the watch commemorates the Olympic Games with "Paris 2024" and the Olympic Rings stamped on it along with a mirror-polished Paris 2024 logo, over a frosted base.
Powering the chronograph watch is the METAS-certified Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9908 / 9909, and offers about 60 hours of reserve. The water resistance is 50 metres.
