IWC Schaffhausen introduces two new limited edition ‘The Little Prince’ Pilot’s watches

The release includes a Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Le Petit Prince in blue ceramic and a Tourbillon Le Petit Prince in platinum
IWC Schaffhausen has added two new pilot watches to its arsenal, inspired by French author Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s popular novel ‘The Little Prince’. One is a 46.5mm Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Le Petit Prince (Ref. IW504901), which has debuted in blue ceramic and is a limited edition of 100 pieces. The other is a 43mm Tourbillon Le Petit Prince (Ref. IW329501) crafted in platinum and is a 150-piece limited edition.

The brand has been collaborating with the heirs of Antoine de Saint Exupéry as well as with the Antoine de Saint Exupéry Youth Foundation since 2006, which supports philanthropic actions including educational and cultural programs around the world. In keeping with this, IWC has created several watches inspired by the popular book. Read about the brand's Watches and Wonders 2025 releases here

Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Le Petit Prince

The Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Le Petit Prince features an 18K 5N gold crown, a blue dial and a textured blue strap. On the sunray-finish dial, there is a tourbillon at 12 o’clock, a day and power reserve indicator subdial at 3 o’clock, moonphase, which depicts the Little Prince on his asteroid, and a month subdial at 6 o’clock, a day of the week subdial at 9 o’clock, and a year window near 8 o’clock. Further, there are gold-plated Super-LumiNova® filled Arabic hours, minute markers, and hands.

Visible through the open caseback is the IWC-manufactured automatic Calibre 51950 with 168-hours of power reserve. Moreover, there is an oscillating weight, crafted in gold, in the shape of the Little Prince standing on his asteroid, engraved with wild-growing baobab plants.

Crafted in platinum, the watch has a platinum crown and a blue sunray-finish dial featuring rhodium plated and Super-LumiNova® applied Arabic and minute markers and hands. The flying minute tourbillon is located at 6 o’clock.

Powering this model is the IWC-manufactured automatic Calibre 82905 with a Pellaton winding system, which was developed by the brand’s former technical director, Albert Pellaton in the 1950s. This winding system allows the movement to wind the watch using both directions. Just like the previous model, this version too has an oscillating weight in the shape of the Little Prince standing on his asteroid, engraved with wild-growing baobab plants. The watch has a power reserve of about 80 hours and is finished with a brown calfskin leather strap with a platinum folding clasp.
