Bremont partners with Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E), the consumer products and retail division of Universal Destinations & Experiences, a subsidiary of Comcast NBCUniversal, for a watch inspired by Felix the Cat.

If you don’t know already, Felix the Cat is one of the most iconic and longest-running cartoon characters in history, created in 1919 during the silent film era. The animated feline has been considered a lucky mascot for historical solo flights. Felix is the face of VFA-31 (Strike Fighter Squadron 31), one of the oldest and most decorated fighter squadrons in the U.S. Navy. Felix has also been the mascot of the Royal Australian Air Force’s 11 Squadron for over 70 years.

Fitting to the tribute, Bremont chose the Bremont line for the special collaboration and unveiled the Altitude MB Meteor ‘Felix the Cat’. Sticking to the aesthetics and specifications of the Altitude line, the 42 mm watch features a Grade 2 titanium Trip-Tick case construction finished in black DLC & knurled black PVD barrel. The stealth black dial features an applied Felix the Cat artwork at 6 o’clock, where the cat appears to be running away with the numeral 6. All applied numerals and indexes are filled with high-grade white Super-LumiNova®. The Bremont Altitude MB Meteor ‘Felix the Cat’ retains one of the MB’s most iconic features: the looped ‘ejection’ pull handle on the tip of the seconds hand - in vibrant yellow and black nodding to the original. The crown at 4 o’clock can be used to operate the bi-directional rotating inner bezel — a signature of the line.

Bremont’s BB14-AH movement drives the watch with a 68-hour power reserve. Turning the watch over reveals an open caseback with a Felix the Cat-inspired decoration on the crystal. The watch comes dressed in a matt black DLC titanium bracelet or a textured black leather strap. It is limited to 500 pieces worldwide.
