Baume & Mercier’s flagship line of everyday luxury watches, Clifton, has now been extended with two new timepieces. One is the Clifton 10870, a time-and-date model encased in 39 mm stainless steel, and the other is the Clifton 10872, a perpetual calendar watch encased in 40 mm stainless steel. While the two are different timepieces, what links them together is the brand’s new and exclusive ice-blue guilloché dial and the brand’s Baumatic movement.
The brand has reimagined its Clifton collection with slimmer and reduced case in 2025 and now, with the introduction of this ice-blue colour to the dials, the line gets a more refined look.

Following the design aesthetics of the line’s time and date watches, the new Clifton variation features a subtle and minimal dial with sunburst minute track rhodium-plated faceted trapezoid hour markers, an Arabic hour marker at 12 o’clock, and alpha-style hands. There’s a date window located at 6 o’clock.
Turn the watch over to see the brand’s Baumatic automatic movement BM13-1975 A, boasting a five day power reserve. It comes on a three-row satin-polished stainless steel interchangeable bracelet.

This reference is on the complicated side, however, despite being a busy dial, it is a legible one. There’s a perpetual calendar showcased on the three sunburst subdials. The date is on the 3 o’clock subdial, day of the week is at 9, and month and leap year indication at 12. The moonphase is at 6 o’clock. While this watch also features rhodium-plated faceted trapezoid hour markers, there are Arabic hour markers at 2,4,8, and 10.
The watch also features an open caseback revealing the brand’s Baumatic automatic movement BM13-1975 AC2, with a rose gold coated rotor. This movement has the same power reserve as the Clifton 10870. An interchangeable blue alligator leather strap flanks the case.
Price: Rs. 19,67,000 (approx.)
Both the dress watches are limited edition timepieces; not specified to how many.
