Geneva Watch Days 2026: Oris brings ProPilot X Gonzo Edition

The brand returns to the Disney’s The Muppets with its latest release
Following the launch of Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy in 2023 and 2025, respectively, Oris now welcomes Gonzo edition in its ProPilot X line. The latest iteration brings the character’s daring spirit and unmistakable style is translated into a colourful titanium watch that combines the technical architecture of the ProPilot X Calibre 115 with a series of details dedicated to the Muppet daredevil.

A Watch as Unconventional as Gonzo

Gonzo first appeared on The Muppet Show in 1976 and soon became known for his extravagant, often downright reckless stunts. Oris captures that spirit with one of its most technically distinctive ProPilot X models. Water-resistant to 100 meters, the 44 mm multi-piece titanium case measures 12.6 mm in height and 52 mm from lug to lug. It is paired with a multi-piece titanium bracelet that echoes the construction of the case and gives the watch a distinctly technical appearance. The bracelet is secured by an Oris-developed folding clasp, creating a cohesive titanium design from case to wrist.

The skeletonized dial is particularly colourful, with a gradient that transitions from blue through red to yellow, inspired by Gonzo’s blue fur and flamboyant style. A laser-textured ring around the dial adds another unusual effect: depending on the angle of the light, it can appear in different colours across the spectrum. The open-worked dial reveals the mechanics beneath, while the central hands indicate the hours and minutes and a small seconds display adds a separate indication within the layout.

The most important part is the distinctive non-linear power-reserve indication at 3 o’clock. For the Gonzo Edition, the indication takes the shape of a chili pepper, referencing one of the character’s signature shirts, while the scale counts down ten “GREAT” days. The partially skeletonized hour and minute hands and markers are filled with Superluminova.

The coolest detail – and a first in watchmaking – is hidden in the open mainspring barrel at 12 o’clock. The 1.8-meter-long mainspring is laser-etched with tiny elements that form Gonzo’s face when the spring is fully wound. As the power is consumed, the image gradually disperses. Winding the watch brings the quirky character back into view, creating a "peek-a-boo" kind of mechanical performance.

At the heart of the ProPilot X Gonzo Edition is the Oris Caliber 115, a hand-wound movement with a 240-hour, or 10-day, power reserve. The manufacture movement features a fine timing device and stop-second function. It comes to life  through the exhibition case back. The ProPilot X Gonzo Edition will be available for Rs. 9,92,000 (approx.) and delivered in a special 'The Muppets' presentation box.
