Lucerne-based Swiss watch brand seems to be bringing their 130th anniversary to a celebratory end with their newest collaboration with the esteemed Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie. They announced their partnership in New York with the launch of the first timepiece of their Heritage collection, the Heritage Tourbillon Double Peripheral limited edition.
Limited to 88 pieces – to mark the year Carl F. Bucherer was founded, 1888 – the new 42.50 mm watch features the iconic Lucerne Chapel Bridge engraved on the 18k white gold movement bridge on the caseback. The position of the engraved swan under the bridge differs in every timepiece – adding to the uniqueness of the limited edition pieces.
Powered with the CFBA1000 calibre, the Heritage Tourbillon Double Peripheral is a series production on the first-ever movement powered by a bidirectional automatic winding system with a peripheral rotor. This technology was further refined in the COSC-certified CFB A2000 movement. The culmination of this innovative developmental work came in the form of the CFB T3000 caliber. The watch has a power reserve of 65 hours and is a certified chronometer. The watch is presented on a Louisiana alligator leather strap in dark brown, hand-stitched, with an 18 k rose gold folding pin buckle.
