Lewis Hamilton is a man who has set the ultimate standard in every aspect of his life. From winning the Formula One World Championship six times to never missing a beat when it comes to his personal style and luxurious lifestyle. So it comes as no wonder that Hamilton would finally move to designing a luxury watch for himself. “We’ve designed a beautiful timepiece which combines two things I am really passionate about –craftsmanship and design – and I am so pleased with the result,” said Hamilton. And so are we!
The “Lewis Hamilton” Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition (ref. IW503002) comes in a case made of black zirconium oxide ceramic and a Bordeaux-red dial. The dial is further accentuated with gold-plated hands that works perfectly against the red dial.
According to IWC's head designer, this particular idea of combining gold with Bordeaux-red was suggested by Lewis Hamilton himself. Using the Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar as the centre point for the collaboration was no coincidence as it is one of Hamilton's favourite models. It sits at a generous 46.5mm ceramic case and is powered by the IWC 52615 manufacture calibre.
Strapped to a Bordeaux-red textile strap, the “Lewis Hamilton” Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition limited to just 100 pieces worldwide.
