Swiss watchmaker Rado has been celebrating women and femininity through the ages in myriads forms showcased in their watches. This time around, Rado joins hands with French-Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder to reinvent the Captain Cook timepiece.

A little about Marina Hoermanseder:

Bold, innovative and eccentric, Marina Hoermanseder is a French-Austrain designer who founded her Berlin-based label back in 2013. Her career began with a successful internship at Alexander McQueen and has celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj wearing her designs.

For the reinvention of the Captain Cook timepiece, Hoermanseder takes her signature style of experimenting with colours, forms and materials and combines it with the Rado timepiece giving us the new Rado Captain CookX Marina Hoermanseder timepiece.

The 37mm polished rose coloured PVD coated stainless steel case with a white high-tech ceramic insert works perfectly with the white dial set with combination of rose gold coloured applied indexes filled with Super-LumiNova® and 8 jubilé diamond hour markers. The rose gold coloured hands with the signature anchor symbol enhance the overall look of the watch.

Signature elements from Marina's design aesthetic, like her trademark buckle and leather strap in expressive and exuberant pink with a matching cylindrical watch case stamped with the Marina Hoermanseder logo, is present on the new watch.

The new Rado Captain Cook watch is powered by the automatic Rado calibre R763 movement that clocks in a power reserve of 80 hours. Available in three watch straps; pink, black and an original ,extra-long version(the ones that go twice around the wrist) in pink again, each of the straps comes with EasyClip fittings that allows for quick strap change with no hassle.
