Now there might have been a tremendous amount of green dial watches that have made an entry this year. But you will have to admit that the colour blue (at least in watches) will always be a favourite (especially during the summer season).

And as it so happens, it is not just me who has been thinking along these lines. Hublot recently announced the release of the Big Bang UNICO Summer – a dazzling timepieces created in a unique shade of blue for the summer season.

Crafted ina 42mm case made of anodised satin-finished and polished aluminium blue case that is lightweight, comfortable (as always) and classic. Taking the #ArtOfFusion to new levels is the shade of blue the watch is available in - a uniform blue- turquoise like the deepest lagoons. The polished and satin-brushed surface of the case shines when it catches the light giving it a shimmer that is perfect in its simplicity. This overall effect and shade of the watch has been created with the help of anodisation – a process that is used to colour the case and its components to give the timepiece a pastel shade. This process also ensure remarkable longevity and protects the case from scratches and impacts.

Adding to the monotone look of the watch is the matt turquoise skeleton dial enhanced with matt turquoise and luminescent appliques. Through the dial, one can notice the UNICO manufacture calibre (HUB 1280) working that guarantees a power reserve of 72 hours.

Limited to just 200 pieces, the Hublot Big Bang UNICO Summer comes in two strap options of the same radiant colour; a Velcro strap and a natural rubber strap. The timepiece is equipped with the patented "One Click" attachment system that makes changing the strap quick and seamless.

Currently, the Hublot Big Bang UNICO Summer is available on the e-commerce site and in the Mediterranean boutiques in Capri, Forte dei Marmi, Mykonos, Ibiza, Bodrum, Saint-Tropez and Monaco.
