Ensuring effective cost-management (which seems to have been the biggest concern of the luxury watch industry in the last two years), Baume et Mercier took the opportunity to introduce their first ever mechanical movement, designed completely in-house, in five new models of their well-appreciated Clifton Baumatic collection, this year.
The Richemont Group brand introduced the movement during the SIHH, earlier in January. It is said to represent the premier combination of a silicon balance-spring along with a high-performance escapement.
