MB&F completes yet another collection – this time the iconic Horological Machine No. 6. the Final Edition formally marks the end of the series production, putting the collection in the same boat as the HM2, HM3 and the HM4 series.
Available in stainless steel, the eight-piece limited edition follows the case-material precedent which had been set by the Legacy Machine No. 1 Final Edition. The HM6 resonates the phenomenon caused by the hottest-burning stars as they come to an end in a massive supernova. The hottest stars appear in a bright blue because of the high radiation frequency – a colour which is translated in to the shade of the HM6 Final Edition. The platinum oscillating weight in PVD blue is visible through the sapphire crystal pane on the underside of the case and further matches the arresting hue of the hour and minute spheres with the numerals and markings standing out in a thickly-applied Super-LumiNova luminescent light blue.
Comprising of 475 parts, the engine of the HM6 Final Edition includes two turbines which create a type of air resistance to protect the automatic winding system. The flying tourbillon, protected by a retractable shield, forms the heart of the movement.
