At six o’clock, the moonphase complication tracks a gilded moon and stars against a traditional midnight-blue sky. What appears at first glance to be a classic fluted bezel is, on closer inspection, sitting beneath the sapphire crystal, functioning as a bezel-turned-flange. The polished vintage dauphine hands with no seconds hand complete the dial. There are no hour-markers and a fluted crown sits at 3 o’clock. The watch moves to a quartz calibre offering an impressive 60 months (five years) of battery life. It comes with an alligator-style pattern strap crafted from calfskin, fastened by a lightweight pin buckle that reinforces comfort.
