The latest watch in the line commemorates the 100th birth year of Scott Carpenter, the American space pioneer who wore a custom-built Navitmer on NASA’s Mercury-Atlas 7 mission and orbited the Earth three times in 1962. The latest Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute Scott Carpenter Centenary Edition comes in a 41mm platinum case measuring 13mm thick. Just like the other iterations in the line, the watch includes a bidirectional platinum bezel with a circular slide rule allowing for calculations and a cambered sapphire crystal. Its deep blue dial features a white 24-hour display, white chronograph counters, and the AOPA winged logo at 12 o’clock, is furnished with luminescent hands and a vibrant red chronograph seconds hand for optimal readability. It is a 50-piece limited edition watch, finished with a blue alligator leather strap and white-gold folding buckle.
