Longine’s Ultra-Chron Carbon has a 43mm cushion-shaped case that’s lightweight and ultra-resistant. The pattern on each case is unique, thanks to the manufacturing process which involves strips of unidirectional carbon fibre and epoxy resin, which are placed into a mould and heated and then compressed under high pressure, before finally cold-cut. The watch has a fixed titanium bezel with aluminium insert engraved Arabic markings and a sand-blasted anthracite dial featuring twelve baton-shaped applied silver hour markers and grey PVD hour and minute hands coated with blue luminescence Super-LumiNova®, and the Ultra-Chron logo at 6 o’clock. The caseback is closed and is engraved with the Ultra-Chron logo and hidden beneath is the automatic Longines calibre L836.6, beating at 5Hz high-frequency and boasting a 53-hour power reserve.
