Ralph Lauren presents its first Minute-Repeater

Modelled on their Slim Classique wristwatches, Ralph Lauren presents the Minute-Repeater powered by La Fabrique du Temps.

Known better for their polo t-shirt, Ralph Lauren, in collaboration with the Swiss watch conglomerate the Richemont group, introduces its first Minute-Repeater – a true epitome of their joint venture. With an aim to designing and creating high quality timepieces, Mr. Lauren, a watch aficionado himself, brings the latest complication to the table with this timepiece.

Taking inspiration from their already established Slim Classique pieces, the Minute-Repeater shares the same thin case and wide bezel. The bezel is further decorated traditionally (by hand) with guilloche. The dial carries a similar decoration, giving the white-gold 42.5mm timepiece a vintage appeal.

The heart of the watch is powered by the RL 888 calibre developed by the Geneva-based La Fabrique du Temps, the Louis Vuitton owned specialist known for supplying movements to various external brands, including Ralph Lauren. The calibre is hand-wound and comes with a 100-hour power reserve. The bridges seek inspiration from the traditional calibres found in many of the vintage pocket and wrist watches.

The Ralph Lauren Minute Repeater is priced at ₹1,31,10,458 (US$206,000).
