Today we will be focusing on the all-black, lume dialled TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver.

The Night Diver (as many of you will instantly recognise) was first launched during the mid 1980s. This was a celebrated timepiece that was dedicated to active, style-conscious and adventurous watch buyers. For 2021 TAG Heuer takes this philosophy of the watch and the Aquaracer collection and brings us the latest iteration of the iconic timepiece. Set with its signature elements like the 12-sided bezel and the horizontally engraved lines on the dial, the 2021 Night Diver offers a versatile yet classic design that is easy to love.

About the watch:

The Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver comes in a 43mmblack DLC-coated steel sand blasted case. Keeping in tune with its “all-black” look, the watch is available with a black ceramic 60-minute scale on the unidirectional turning bezel, black DLC steel screw-down crown and caseback.

The dial is fully luminescent with a heavy coat of green Super- LumiNova®. This feature is not just an aesthetic addition like an exceptional glow-in-the-dark performance to the timepiece but offers practical use. It ensures maximum legibility in extremely low-light conditions like when the user is diving deep in the ocean. The hour hand and octagonal hour markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock are filled with green lume while the remaining octagonal hour markers are all filled with black lacquer that works in contrast against the glowing background of the dial. To ensure maximum legibility, the triangle at 12 o' clock on the bezel is filled with blue lume to match the blue of the minute and central seconds hands.

Beating at the heart of the timepiece is TAG Heuer's powerful Calibre 5 automatic movement. Apart from the movement, the solid caseback holds a stamped engraving of the famous scaphander diving suit that is complimented with a 12-sided faceplate. The Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver is water-resistant to 300 metres.
