Come Monday and Naomi Osaka will defend her Australian Open title for the year 2022. But that’s not all the reason she’s in news. Taking on the role of TAG Heuer's brand ambassador since 2021, a new timepiece from the Swiss watchmaker is dedicated to the tennis player - The Aquaracer Professional 300 Naomi Osaka Limited Edition Ref No.WBP231E.EB0247 has been created taking the essence of Osaka into account.

The watch, which features different shades of green, represents Osaka's love for the game and nature. To that effect, the dial has a distinctive pale green colour forming a wave pattern, the details on the five minute markers are in a different shade (a subtle reference to the colour of tennis balls), and the strap is a green rubber, with an additional one that’s repurposed from recycled fish nets. The hour markers are made of diamonds. The watch, a limited edition of 250 pieces, which will be available exclusively in the United States, Japan and Australia.

The 36mm watch is powered by a Calibre 5 movement with a steel polished, fine brushed case, a ceramic bezel and a stainless steel caseback which carries her official logo: a teddy bear holding a flower. The limited-edition timepiece gets a 4 Hz frequency with a 38-hour power reserve. The watch comes with a steel folding clasp with double safety push buttons with a fine adjustment system; TAG Heuer shield, and water resistance of 300 metres.
The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Naomi Osaka Limited Edition comes in a black and green box that features Osaka’s logo for the luxury watch brand: a teddy bear holding a flower. The watch also comes with a special tool to make it easy to change the straps.
