Introducing: Jacob & Co Epic X Chrono Tourbillon in Blue Titanium

The Jacob & Co Epic X line is positioned as an everyday luxury sports watch with a skeletonised dial. After countless iterations, taking the series ahead for the year 2022, is a 99-piece Epic X Chrono Tourbillon in Blue Titanium.

Amongst all the over-the-top creations at Jacob & Co, the Epic X line is comparatively subdued. A titanium case, a skeletonised dial, rubber straps, and an ‘x’ motif across the dial and lugs have contributed to it being positioned as luxury sports watch in the Jacob & Co. Universe. And of course, several models have furthered its cause, one of them being the Lionel Messi edition created in 2019 (the diamond studded version made a splash the same year). For 2022, Jacob & Co has unveiled an Epic X with a tourbillon, chronograph, and a 200-metre water-resistance – the 99-piece limited edition, Epic X Chrono Tourbillon in Blue Titanium.

The new 47mm watch (Ref EC360.20.AB.AB.ABRUA) comes in a two-tone shade of blue and white. The case made in titanium with blue PVD coating makes the watch super light and easy to wear, while the crown and pushers get white ceramic coating, with red markers for ‘Start’, ‘Stop’, ‘Reset’ markings. The watch is no doubt big, the 14mm height adding to the large profile. The front gets an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, while the caseback is finished in sapphire glass and blue mineral crystal. The blue mineral crystal dial has a satin finish with white inner ring; a a 60 second window rests at 9 o’ clock, a 30-minute window at 3 o’clock, and 60-second flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. This tourbillon cage is open worked and shaped as a crescent.

Wearers can activate the rotating inner minute bezel with the help of a pusher at 10 o’clock ,which also acts as a countdown timer. Red tips can be found on the hour and minute hands while the seconds hands gets fully coloured in red. The Jacob & Co logo is found at 12 o’clock.

The timepiece come with polished movement bridges with an anthracite rotor and circular grained bridges.
