Roger Dubuis presents two watches at watches and wonders 2022

The adrenaline rush has led Richemont group owned, Roger Dubuis unveils its two highly technical timepieces – Excalibur Monobalancier and the Knight of the Round Table at the 2022 Watches and Wonders, Geneva.

The year 2021 saw Roger Dubuis unveil its 39mm pink gold Excalibur Spider watch. The watch had rubber inlays, a pink gold bezel with white lacquer markings, a pink gold crown, with a pink gold caseback with sapphire crystal. At the 2022 Watches and Wonders, Geneva and the marquee timepiece maker has unveiled two new novelties - Excalibur Monobalancier and Round Table Monotourbillon.

Excalibur Monobalancier

Roger Dubuis takes making watches to a whole new level with every novelty created from the likes of Dubuis Excalibur Huracán STO, Limited Edition Excalibur 45 Automatic Calibre or the Excalibur Spider Pirelli Single Flying Tourbillon and the 2022 iterations are a perfect example of it.

The avant-garde timepiecehas been made with clean cut lines, a fluted bezel while the signature Roger Dubuis star is placed above the barrel. The 42mm watch is sandblasted with satin-surfaces, gets polished angles.

The watch comes in two variants - a gold case and a 60 round-cut diamonds case, both watches come on a black-calf leather or a purple calf-leather strap with a Quick Release System. On the dial, the wayches either come with a black skeleton dial or a golden skeleton dial with golden 'V' shaped hour markers.Powering the watch is the new calibre RD 720SQ with 72 hours of power reserve. The micro-rotor is made frm pink gold and has the Roger Dubuis engraving.

Knights of the Round Table

The watch is on off Roger Dubuis's most iconic watches,as each edition of the Knight of the Round Table combines craftsmanship, artistry with moden design. For this year, the timepiece maker has incorporated a Monotourbillon right at the centre of the watch, displaying superior prowess. The 45mm pink gold watch gets a notched bezel while 12 pink gold knights take over the hour markers. There are two gold markers representing hours and minutes with perfectly centered rotating discs.

The watch has purple blocks carved from Murano glass around the monotourbillon. The watch is highly technical in a way that to respect the knight at 3 o'clock, the watch has a setting system is decentrered at 2 o'clock. The push down function on this watch makes way for a small red flag that indicates that the watch has moved from winding to setting mode. The timepiece is completed with an embossed black calf-leather strap.
