Five new looks for Patek Philippe’s emblematic Grand Complications
Launched in 2014, the Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime was considered the most complicated wristwatch by the brand with 20 complications. This year sees a reinterpretation of the double-face reversible case design with its patented rotating mechanism.
Presenting the new Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Ref. 6300GR-001 with its two brown opaline dials and a hand-guilloched Clous de Paris pattern on the side that displays the time of day. It is available, for the first time, in a bicolour version combining white gold and rose gold.
The second model featuring 118 baguette-cut emeralds and 291 baguette-cut diamonds forges a new alliance between haute horlogerie and haute joaillerie. The Grandmaster Chime Haute Joaillerie Reference 6300/403G-001 comes with ebony-black opaline dials and a hand-guilloched Clous de Paris pattern to display the time. It is available on a black alligator leather strap with emerald-green hand stitching.
The third piece is reminiscent of the Reference 5316 launched in 2017, which unites the minute repeater, a tourbillon, a perpetual calendar with retrograde date hand, and a moon-phase indicator. The new Grand Complication Reference 5316/50P-001 comes in a platinum case and sapphire crystal dial with blue metalization and a blackish rim. It offers a glimpse into the mechanical heart of the timepiece.
Last, but definitely not least, Patek Philippe enriches its minute-repeating wristwatches with two reinterpretations of the Rare Handcrafts series. The fourth novelty, the Rare Handcrafts World Time Minute Repeater Reference 5531G-001 is the first minute repeater model that always strikes the local time in white gold. The dial adorns a new Grand Feu cloisonné enamel scene of the famous steamboats plying the waters of Lake Geneva.
The last reveal is the Rare Handcrafts Minute Repeater Reference 5178G-012. It comes with a self-winding movement and "cathedral" gongs and displays a new dial in blue Grand Feu flinqué enamel over a hand-guilloched swirling pattern.
Calatrava welcomes a new complicated model and refreshed designs
Launched in 1932, the Calatrava collection has always exuded elegance. In 2023, it welcomes the new Calatrava Reference 5224R-001 with a Travel Time dual time zone and an original 24-hour display. Powered by the new caliber 31-260 PS FUS 24H self-winding movement, the novelty allows the wearer to correct the local time using the crown with its new patented system.
The new Calatrava comes in a rose-gold case with a blue dial adorned with numerals, hour markers, and five-minute cabochons all in rose gold.
The Calatrava collection also reveals its first two chronograph models revealed at the ongoing Watches and Wonders fair in Geneva. The Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Chronograph Reference 5924G-001 comes with a blue-gray sunburst dial and a navy-blue grained calfskin strap, and the Calatrava Pilot Travel Tim Chronograph Reference 5924G-010 is available in a khaki green lacquered dial and an olive green, vintage calfskin strap.
Both pieces house the caliber CH 28-520 C FUS self-winding movement that unites three complications: the flyback chronograph, Travel Time dual time zone function, and the date indicated by hand coupled with the local time.
Other reveals include the modern Calatrava References 600 7G-001, 600 7G-010, and 6007G-011 with their ebony black dials with three finishings and an embossed carbon pattern in the center. Encased in white gold and powered by the caliber 26-330 S C self-winding movement with a date and stop seconds function, each model promises uber elegance with colourful accents to their dials and straps: yellow for the 6007G-001. red for 6007G-010, and sky blue for the 6007G-011 model.

Finally, the Swiss Maison expands its Calatrava range for women with the new Calatrava self-winding Reference 4997/200R-001 with its rose-gold case and a dial and strap in purple. The dial is embossed with concentric waves coated with more than fifty layers of translucent lacquer. The case is wrapped with a diamond-set bezel and houses the caliber 240 ultra-thin self-winding movement.

Aquanaut and Aquanaut Luce
Patek Philippe's Aquanaut Luce welcomes the patented Annual Calendar complication to its existing Travel Time dual timezone and the self-winding chronograph models. The new Aquanaut Luce Annual Calendar Reference 5261R-001 comes in a rose gold case with a blue-grey dial.
The second model, the new Aquanaut Luce Reference 5268/200R-010 is powered by the caliber 26-330 S C self-winding movement with a stop-seconds function. Available in a rose gold case with a warm brown-gray dial, the new ladies watch also features a rounded octagonal bezel with 48 diamonds.
The third Aquanaut is a chronograph for men now available in a rose gold case. The new Aquanaut Chronograph Reference 5968R-001 comes with a sunburst dial in a brown-to-black gradient with a matching composite strap.
Technical Models and Jewellery Pieces
Patek Philippe reveals the Self-winding Flyback Chronograph with Annual Calendar Reference 5905R-010 - the latest addition to their segment of complicated watches for men. It is available in a rose-gold case with a blue sunburst dial.
The second release is part of the Gondolo collection. The new jewellery piece, the Gondolo Serata Reference 4962/200R-001, is available in rose gold and a brown-lacquered dial with a floral decoration.
