As Carl F Bucherer turns 135, the brand is celebrating the momentous occasion with the launch of a trio of watches that highlight advanced engineering and a pioneering spirit. The three Manero Minute Repeater Anniversary Edition watches, limited to one piece each, feature three of Carl F Bucherer’s highest complications: A peripheral automatic winding system, floating tourbillon, and a minute repeater regulator.

Aesthetically, there are three variations of the Carl F Bucherer Manero Minute Repeater Anniversary Editions: The first one, Ref. 0010925019301, is a 18K yellow gold piece with a dial finished in a moss-green guilloche, and golden hour markers. The timepiece comes with a matching moss green nubuck leather strap. The second, Ref. 0010925028311, is crafted in 18K white gold with a dial overlaid with light blue mother-of-pearl, complemented by matching 40 ice-blue, naturally-occurring, baguette-cut sapphires arranged around the bezel. The watch case is flanked by a blue hybrid rubber strap with ‘textile’ texture. The third of the trilogy, Ref. 0010925033911, is made in 18K rose gold with black sunray finish dial, having striking indexes made of eight baguette-cut tsavorites and sapphires in rainbow colours. The bezel of this timepiece is accentuated further with 40 baguette-cut tsavorites, sapphires, and rubies in rainbow colours. The watch has a black hybrid rubber strap with a ‘textile’ texture.
The 43.5mm timepieces are entirely designed, developed, and manufactured in-house. And their highlights are the complications. All three watches feature peripherally-mounted technologies: An automatic winding system, a ‘floating’ tourbillon at 12, and minute repeater at 6 o’clock. Its peripherally mounted minute repeater regulator takes charge when hammers strike two gongs to sound hours, quarter hours and minutes.

Carl F Bucherer’s components are exhibited in the dial: the regulator at 6 o’clock; the hammers at the base; and the circular gongs running around the inside the periphery of the case and one more distinctive detail: an uplifted space between the gongs that can be engraved. The timepieces are COSC- certified and powered by the brand’s most complex movement, the CFB MR3000 calibre. Six years in development, the movement features 617 individual parts.
