Breitling with Triumph Motorcycles introduces new Chronomat models

The brand has also collaborated with its ambassador, NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo on two other new Chronomats
The third partnership between Swiss watchmaker Breitling and British motorcycle brand Triumph has resulted in new Chronomat watches that celebrate both watchmaking and the spirit of riding. The association between the two also led to a new Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Limited Edition motorcycle by Triumph, along with a motorcycle owner exclusive watch.

Topped with cambered sapphire crystal, which is glare-proof on both sides, the new 42mm titanium Chronomat B01 42 Triumph (Ref. TB0134101M1X1) features unidirectional knurled bezel. The titanium and 18K red gold body of the timepiece pays tribute to the dark shades of the motorcycle and the Speed Triple 1200 RR’s class-leading Öhlins front forks.

The other exclusive watch, Chronomat B01 42 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR (Ref. TB01341A1B1P1) is a made to order watch—-the buyer of the motorcycle will be eligible for an exclusive deal to get the watch’s caseback engraved with the motorcycle’s individual number. The motorcycles, and by extension the watches, are limited to 270 pieces.

“The Chronomat and the Speed Triple 1200 RR exemplify our joint devotion to the highest standards of design and performance. With Triumph, we share a rugged spirit that combines artistry with adventure”, says Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling

The watches feature different dial colours - one comes in an anthracite dial with black chronograph counter, while the made-to-order one has a carbon dial with anthracite chronograph counters. There is a seconds counter at 9 o’clock, 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, which entails a date window in its bottom half. Both the watches have Super-LumiNova® coated 18K red gold markers and hands, and a Triumph logo on the counter weight of the seconds chronograph hand.

An automatic Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 beating at 4Hz powers the watches with about 70 hours of power reserve. While a brown perforated leather strap sports the Chronomat B01 42 Triumph, a brown alligator-leather strap completes the Chronomat B01 42 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR. The watches are water resistant up to 200 metres.

Further extending the Chronomat family are two new executions made in collaboration with Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Greek-Nigerian NBA player who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks, alongside a special edition made just for the player.

The two new timepieces introduced include a steel Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 Giannis Antetokounmpo and an 18K red gold Chronomat B01 42 Giannis Antetokounmpo both with green dials, with black 60-seconds counter located at 9 o‘clock and featuring a basketball symbol, 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and 12-hour counter with date window at 6 o’clock. Both have a unidirectional ratcheted bezel and the green dial reminiscent of the good-land green of his team;  the counter weight of second’s hand sports the player’s initial ‘GA’ on it.

The ‘one of one’ special edition Chronomat B01 is exclusively made for Antetokounmpo. The distinctive feature of this timepiece is that it is entirely crafted in 18K red gold and features a white inner bezel, a green dial with white counters, and golden Arabic hour markers.

While the 250 numbered limited-edition chronograph model is equipped with automatic Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 with about 70-hours power reserve and flanking its case is green Rouleaux-inspired rubber strap or 18K red gold Rouleaux bracelet.
