Swiss watch brand, Jacob & Co. has unveiled a new watch in collaboration with Ethos Watch Boutiques, the Epic X Ram Janmabhoomi Edition 1. There are two versions of the timepiece - Ref. EX110.20.AA.AR.ABRUA and EX110.20.AA.AS.ABRUA, both featuring the newly constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, along with motifs of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman. The watch is a part of Jacob & Co.’s Epic X collection which is recognised for the X structure on the dial, vertical bridges, and bezel-clutching lugs.
The temple motif is shown at 9 o’clock and on the opposite at 3 is the silhouette of Lord Ram with Lord Hanuman. Below the tourbillon at 6 o’clock are featured the letters “JAI SHRI RAM”. The minutes ring at the periphery of the dial and the tip of the baton hands are coloured in saffron, along with the rubber strap.
Powering the 44mm steel-cased watch is the manual winding JCAM02 calibre with a 48-hour power reserve. The movement can be seen through the sapphire caseback. The watch is water resistant up to 100 metres.
A limited edition of 49, with 35 already sold, the timepiece is priced at ₹34,00,000.
