Tudor’s new launch is a Black Bay Chrono Blue Boutique Edition in “Tudor Blue”

The newly introduced chronograph iteration adopts a refreshing blue dial
Tudor’s Black Bay Chrono now receives a blue dial iteration in “Tudor Blue”. The Black Bay Chrono Blue Boutique Edition (Ref. M79360B) is inspired by watches that display the brand’s decades of technical expertise in motorsport timing,  like the collectors’ favourite blue “Montecarlo” Oysterdate Chronograph, and diving, represented by the Submariner “Snowflake” from the 1970s.

Latest in the collection, the timepiece is an exclusive boutique edition. The highlight of the watch is its bright and refreshing blue colour, and rest of the design and aesthetics, the watch picks it from the older siblings. Further, the Black Bay Chrono Blue adopts the famous “snowflake” hands, a signature of the brand’s diver’s watches since 1969, in a version honed to ensure optimal readability on its blue domed dial with two hollowed silver sub-counters. Inspired by the first generation of Tudor chronographs, the dial layout includes a 45-minute counter and a date aperture positioned at 6 o’clock.

The recognizable features of the Black Bay line–satin-brushed and polished surfaces, bevelled lugs and a crown signed with a Tudor rose–are preserved in a 41mm diameter steel case which is water resistant to 200 metres. Typical of the brand’s attention to detail, the design of the stainless steel pushers is inspired by the very first generation of Tudor chronographs. Completing the look and function of this sporty chronograph is a fixed stainless steel bezel with a blue anodized aluminium tachymetric scale insert.

At the heart of the watch is the manufacture chronograph calibre MT5813, which displays the hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph and date functions. Its tungsten monobloc rotor is openworked and satin-brushed with sandblasted details, and its bridges and mainplate alternate sandblasted and polished surfaces with laser decorations. It has a 70-hour power reserve and is equipped with an anti-magnetic silicon balance-spring.

The new Black Bay Chrono model comes fitted on a 5-link stainless-steel bracelet with Tudor “T-fit” rapid adjustment clasp. Easy to use, requiring no tools and offering five positions, this practical system allows wearers to carry out a fine, instant adjustment of the total length of the bracelet along an adjustment window of eight millimetres. The clasp also features ceramic ball bearings that ensure a smooth and secure closure.

Pricing is marked at Rs. 4,94,800 (approx.)
