Zenith’s Defy Extreme Diver and Defy Revival Diver are here

Both the latest Defy watches now appear in black ‘shadow’ editions
Launched in 1969, Zenith’s Defy is a popular collection of sporty watches, featuring functionalities and complications like chronographs, divers, and tourbillons. One legendary model from the collection is the Defy Diver A3648 from 1969, inspired by which the brand introduced a Defy Extreme Diver and its faithful creation, the Defy Revival A3648, in 2024. Today, these models have been introduced in micro-blasted titanium black ‘shadow’ versions.

Following the signature design codes of the previous version, the latest Defy Extreme Diver features a 42.5mm angular case in micro-blasted titanium and a fixed dodecagonal base with a SuperLuminova-filled unidirectional rotating bezel in black ceramic. The line’s signature starry sky pattern dial now comes in black with a vivid yellow minute ring and accents, rhodium-plated, faceted, and Super-LumiNova SLN C1 filled hands and hour markers. The date window is at 3 o’clock.

Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback is the El Primero 3620 automatic movement, beating at 5Hz frequency, and providing a power reserve of about 60 hours. The watch is water resistant up to 600 meters and is offered with a micro-blasted titanium three-link bracelet or interchangeable durable black rubber strap or a black and yellow single-piece fabric strap option.

A faithful recreation of the Diver A3648, but in a shadow version. The 37mm micro-blasted titanium watch retains the original’s fourteen-sided bezel, placed above a titanium-made unidirectional rotating bezel with a yellow-tinted sapphire insert. The watch is incorporated with a black & yellow Super-LumiNova SLN C1 dial with a date window at 4:30. The bold hour markers and hands are also filled with white Super-LumiNova.

Being a Defy Diver, the watch is water resistant up to 600 meters or 1,969 feet, a tribute to the collection’s born year. Powering this model is the automatic Calibre Elite 670 with 4Hz frequency and 50 hours of power reserve. The watch is worn on the iconic Gay Frères style bracelet, crafted in titanium

Zenith Defy Extreme Diver is priced at Rs. 10,56,000 (approx.) and the Defy Revival Diver is priced at Rs. 7,04,000 (approx.)
