Tudor continues its presence at Formula 1 season with Black Bay Chrono "Carbon 26" this year

The watch is directly inspired by the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls team car – the VCARB 03
In 2026, Tudor continues its connection with motorsport through the Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26”. This model follows the previous year’s “Carbon 25”, which was linked to the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One team. The new watch reflects updates made to the 2026 race car, the VCARB 03, and carries forward the brand’s long-standing presence in racing. In 2026, this relationship continues, with drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad wearing the Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26”.

The watch is redesigned with a full 42 mm carbon fibre case, used to reduce weight, which is important in racing. The tachymeter bezel, also made from carbon fibre, allows the wearer to measure speed based on time. Even smaller components such as the end-links are made from the same material to maintain consistency in weight reduction.

The dial follows a “racing white” layout with black sub-counters. Yellow accents are added to match the design elements of the VCARB 03 car. The Chronograph 45-minute at 3 o’clock, small seconds counter at 9 o’clock, and the date window at 6 o’clock surround use carbon fibre layers, giving the dial a structured appearance. The watch retains Tudor’s Snowflake hands, a design introduced in 1969 for better legibility.

Inside the watch is the Manufacture Chronograph Calibre MT5813. This movement provides hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph functions, and a date display. It has a 70-hour power reserve and uses a silicon balance spring for stability. The movement is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute, with Tudor applying stricter precision standards than required. `Notably, the MT5813 movement is based on the Breitling Calibre B01, developed through collaboration between Tudor and Breitling. The brand modified the movement with its own regulating system and finishing.

Only 2,026 pieces of this model will be produced. Each watch is individually numbered on the case back, marking the year. The watch is water-resistant to 200 metres and is fitted with a hybrid leather and rubber strap.
