Tissot is expanding its PRX Chronograph with a quartz movement

The release features three new variations
There’s no two ways about the fact that Tissot PRX is a very loved line among watch enthusiasts. Launched in the 70s, the line has remained time-and-date only for a long period of time, until 2022, that’s when the brand launched chronograph models that were powered by Swiss Valjoux A05.H31 automatic movement, featuring a 60-hour power reserve. Now, in 2026, the brand is introducing new chronograph models in the line, but now powered by a Chrono Quartz movement.

Designed as an integrated sports watch, the new models also feature the aesthetic codes of the line – barrel-shaped (tonneau) mid-case, integrated bracelet, and textured dial. Encased in 41 mm stainless steel, a reduction of 1 mm from its automatic predecessors, the watches are offered in three vertically brushed dial variations: A silver dial, accented by rose-gold-coloured indexes; In black and blue with nickel indexes and chronograph counters. Baton hands and indexes are coated with Super LumiNova® ensuring legibility in darkness. There is also a date window at 4 o’clock.

The watch displays hours, minutes, and chronograph seconds via central hands. There is a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock and 1/10 of a second counter at 3 o’clock, that moves dynamically to show fractions of a second for exact stopwatch timing accuracy and a 60  seconds counter at 6 o’clock.

The watches are powered by the G10.212 chrono quartz movement that features a Split and Add function allowing users to freeze the hands to log a lap time while the movement continues tracking total elapsed time invisibly in the background and also to time consecutive events without resetting the stopwatch back to zero. A crown sits at 3 o’clock, while the pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock are designed in accordance with the case shape, and feels like a natural extension of the case. The watches are finished with Tissot’s emblematic flat-link bracelet, which is also vertically brushed and feels like an extension of the case. The caseback is steel and also vertically brushed. All three models retail for ₹ 52,500.
