Rebirth of An Icon

A contemporary and refined timepiece, the all-new Chopard Alpine Eagle is a beautiful reinterpretation of the iconic St. Moritz - the first watch created by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele.

Personally imagined and designed by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele – Co-President, Chopard, the all new Alpine Eagle collection features a range of sporty chic timepieces inspired by the Alps and the lofty power of the eagle. The timepiece also bears statement to Chopard's ethical approach. How?With the launch of the timepiece, the Maison also revealed its new commitment to protecting the Alpine environment through the launch of the Eagle Wings Foundation.

Moving on to the watch, the Alpine Eagle draws inspiration not only from Karl's creative strength and passion for the Alps, it is also deeply influenced by Louis Sullivan's principle of harmony that states that “form follows function.” The 41mm case is immaculately crafted from an exclusive, ultra-resistant Lucent Steel A223 material. With properties comparable to surgical steel, the Lucent Steel A223 has a homogenous crystal structure that allows it to reflect light in a unique way and gives the watch an exciting yet refined form and feel. The stamped brass, rock-like textured dial in Aletsch Blue or Bernina Grey works perfectly against the reflective case. The baton-type hands and applied hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova® Grande X1 for maximum visibility even during the darkest hours.

Despite its beautiful aesthetics, the Alpine Eagle does not compromise when it comes to fine watchmaking. The collection houses two movements developed in-house and chronometer-certified – the Alpine Eagle with the Large case houses the 01.01-C calibre with a 60-hour power reserve, while the Small models features the 09.01-C calibre with a 42-hour power reserve. Both are visible through a transparent sapphire crystal back.

Strapped to a form fitting Lucent Steel A223 bracelet, the all-new sporty chic Alpine Eagle collection from Chopard is also available in ethical 18-carat rose gold versions.
