Additionally, visitors will be also be able to witness and observe watchmakers at work through the company's new Cyberloupe technology. Visitors will be able to take a customised tour of the property via a live stream from Schaffhausen.
Leaving no stone unturned in offering the same insight enjoyed on the ever-popular in-person tours, the brand ensures that each virtual journey is adapted and customised to the visitor's interests and preferences.
This virtual journey begins with an introduction to the brand's rich history. This is followed by a guide who welcomes the guests to the manufacturing centre; here short videos with live commentary and video links offers the guest an immersive experience inside the manufacture. Guides also offer a deep-dive into more specific topics like mechanical decoration or advanced case materials, if desired.
Like mentioned above, with the help of IWC's patented Cyberloupe technology, every virtual visitor can view the watchmaker's viewpoint in real-time to their screens. This technology features a specially developed version of a watchmaker’s magnifying glass features an integrated camera and network connection.
