Before we head into the new year which is also the 90th anniversary of the popular Reverso collection, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils a special tribute edition in burgundy red – the Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano Limited. Featuring a burgundy-red dial and a pink gold case, the timepiece is limited to just 190 pieces and pays tribute to a design of rare longevity.

The story of the Reverso dates back to 1931 when during the height of the Art Deco period, this particularly rectangular shaped timepiece was introduced to meet the high demands of the newly fashionable 'sporty gentlemen' – the polo player. The new watch offered a combination of form and function with its elegant aesthetics and the flip-over case function. Since then, the world has come to recognise the power of the Reverso and it is one of the most recognisable watches ever created. The newly released Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano Limited is a perfect addition to further enrich the Reverso story that has been going on for 90 years now.

Offering two contrasting dials which were first developed in 1994, the Reverso Tribute “Duoface” Fagliano Limited features a front dial that showcases the hours and minutes with applied golden markers and dauphine hands and a small seconds display at 6 o' clock. All of this is set against the burgundy-red lacquer dial.

The reverse or the back dial features a silver grey and velvety Clous de Paris guillochage outer surface that houses a circular white inner dial with applied golden hour markers , dauphine hands with a smaller circle at 6 o'clocks that displays the day and night indication.

Either side of the two dials display a different time zone which is made possible with the help of the hand-wound Calibre 854A/2 movement working within. You can adjust the second timezone with the help of a small slider set that is present in the top case-band of the watch and remains completely hidden until the case is released from the carriage to be flipped over. Neat, right?
