Who Wears What: A look at the luxury watches owned by Indian IPL Cricketers

With IPL 2024 craze going on, we take a look at the luxury watches owned by Indian cricketers.
Work hard, play hard - cricketers are known for the efforts they put into their game as well as the lavish lifestyles they maintain off the field. This includes them donning covetable watches, which includes the likes of Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and Hublot. Here’s a list of a few of the luxury watches worn by IPL cricketers.

Virat Kohli’s Rolex Yachtmaster 42 - Reference 226658


Virat Kohli owns a Rolex Yacht-master 42mm in 18ct yellow gold. This watch from an iconic line features a bidirectional rotatable 60-minute graduated bezel that has matt black Cerachrom insert in ceramic, and polished raised numerals. The watch has a black dial with a date aperture at 3 o’clock. The indexes and hands are filled with long-lasting blue luminescence. Its Rolex oysterflex bracelet has a folding oysterlock safety clasp with Rolex glidelock extension system. The watch is powered by Calibre 3235. 

M.S Dhoni’s Panerai Luminor GMT MS Dhoni Edition



The brand ambassador of Panerai in India, MS Dhoni, owns two special edition watches created by the brand in collaboration with the former Indian cricket captain. One of the two watches, Ref PAM01056, is a limited edition of 251 pieces. The 44mm GMT watch with a green dial features a date aperture and small seconds at 3 and 9 o’clock respectively. The hands and hour markers are filled with luminescence, and the watch is flanked by a black leather strap with a pin buckle clasp, and it is water resistant up to 300m. The watch runs thanks to the reliable Calibre P.9010. 


Rohit Sharma’s Gerald Charles Maestro 3.0 Chronograph Reference GC3.0-A-00




Rohit Sharma owns a Gerald Charles Maestro 3.0 Chronograph. The 39x41.7mm is asymmetric polygon with smooth edges, and stainless steel bezel and crown featuring embossed logo. The black sunburst dial has hands and indexes filled with Super-LumiNova and displays hours, minutes and central seconds, chronograph with counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock respectively. The strap material is a technical vulcanised rubber, and it is water resistant of up to 100m. The GCA 3022/12 calibre is powering the signature Maestro Maestro model. 


Yuzvendra Chahal’s Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Reference 126333

Yuzvendra Chahal’s Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust is a 41mm piece in Oystersteel and yellow gold. The fluted bezel of the watch is a Rolex’s signature, and the champagne colour dial features a date window at 3 o’clock and a Rolex logo at 12 o’clock. The jubilee bracelet has folding Oysterclasp with easylink 5 mm comfort extension link. This self-winding watch is powered by Calibre 3235. The watch is waterproof up to 100m.

KL Rahul's Patek Philippe Nautilus 57121/A 


The extensive watch collection of KL Rahul includes moonphase Patek Philippe Nautilus. The 40mm watch with a black-blue horizontally embossed dial features date, moonphase, small seconds, and a power reserve indicator. The watch has a steel bracelet with fold over clasp, and is waterproof up to 60m. The mechanical movement of this watch is powered by caliber 240 PS IRM C LU. 

Ishan Kishan’s Rolex Day-Date watch - Ref  228235

The star player of Mumbai Indians owns a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40mm in 18K Everose gold with a fluted bezel. The olive green dial features Roman hour markers and a  day and date aperture at 12 and 3 o’clock. The semi-circular three-piece links President bracelet has a concealed folding crown clasp. The mechanical movement of the watch is powered by Calibre 3255. This timepiece is water resistant up to 100m.
