Encapsulating the spirit and passion of the brand, with the cultural diversity of India, SevenFriday presented the M1/06 Off-Series during its launch in Mumbai, India, today. Limited to 100 pieces, the special edition is said to be inspired by the vibrancy of the country, paired together with the design aesthetics of SevenFriday.
“All over India, there are design cues,” says SevenFriday CEO and Co-Founder Dan Niederer. “India is a design savvy country always on the lookout for products that not only function but also surprise and delight. The experience, message, technicality and story also matter.”
What makes the SevenFriday M-series stand out, is its distinctive concept, and the dials. While the series still share the same basic silhouette as the P-series model (with the lugless 47mm wide case), the spinning discs instead of the hands to indicate the hand is a characteristic exclusive to the M-series.
The M1/06 India Off-Series feature green, orange and white components on its three custom discs with an addition of two small Indian flags, embellished on the minute plate and the surrounding décor plate, and the number twelve is written in the Hindi script. The leather strap is dark anthracite calf skin, with yellow stitching, and green and yellow loops.
The caseback has the map of India printed on it, with an NFC chip located behind it, enabling the owner to identify his timepiece via the Seven Friday mobile application.
The limited edition series is worth USD/CHF 1300 (RRP ex. taxes). It will be available in India while the supplies last, starting today, i.e. May 5th, 2017.
